Tim Holtz tickets have arrived at last

At last the tickets have arrived for the Tim Holtz workshop that Kath and I have been waiting for.

It is all very exciting I can hardly wait and now the tickets are here it makes it so real. and only 56 more sleeps.

Haven't done much crafting since before Christmas what with all the excitement of Christmas and all the cooking and with Brian being at home haven't really had the chance, and what with Mr Mojo also taking a break doesn't look like anything getting done until at least next week.

But the good news is, is that the turkey has all gone, and thanks to the sales I have 2 new dresses in my wardrobe.

Beautiful You #2

Here is another card using Beautiful You from Verve Stamps. I think I will be using this set lots and lots. Julee has some fabulous stamps sets, think I might be tempted to buy lots more. I've been looking in my old paper packs and I am determined to try to use up some of the old stuff before buying any thing new.
Don't think I will have much more time to craft or blog this week, I've got a To Do List as long as my arm and with my visitors coming on Friday I have just realised that's only a day and a half away. OMG its nearly Christmas Eve and people are going to want to be fed, how inconsiderate of them. Don't they think I have enough to do already.

Beautiful You-The Sweet Stop #87

I can't believe that its been so long since I posted, I got some new stamps from Verve Stamps the other day this set is called Beautiful You and as well the lovely Flower it also has lots of beautiful sayings.

I think I am nearly ready for Christmas I went to Tesco today, what a nightmare that was, made worse because of the snow I don't think people have been able to get out to shop for the last couple of days. But unless I've forgotten something vital ingredient I'm not going back. I just hope my visiters can get here at Christmas or else we will have too eat it all ourselves and thats my diet well and truly ruined. In fact Brian said today when we got back from tesco that we have too much food again, better too much than not enough but there is a happy medium. Are the shops really only closed for one day? But then you don't want to be spending Christmas at the supermarket do you.Anyway that my excuse and it is a 4 day holiday this year. Hoping to be able to spend some quality time with the family, just hope they can get here.

It looks like Christmas here.

We put the tree up last weekend. We bought a new tree last winter in the January sales. I forgot how big it was, we usually have a table in that corner but had to take it up stairs. Not only is it taller and wider than the old tree, it is more beautiful too, it has red berries and fir cones and is snow tipped too.

We went to Biscester Outlet Village a couple of weeks ago and went into the Waterford Wedgewood shop and when I saw this beautiful Heirloom Bauble, it was a bit pricey but I had to have it. I could have got a huge box at Costco for the same price, but we already had plenty of baubles so I only needed this one.

I decorated my mantel with candles and a red berry garland.

WOYWW-- Not A Lot

As you can see there is nothing on my desk this week, no projects at all, Birthday cards are made, Christmas cards all made too.

Even the floor is clean. To be truthful even my Mojo has been cleared out too.
If you are a bit of a nosey parker like me then hope on over to Julia's Blog, maybe there will be lots more interesting workspaces than mine.

But at least I can now concentrate on Christmas preparations, mainly food menus, with so many fussy eaters around at Christmas, everything I think of has something in it that someone doesn't like, also my DIL is veggie. I have this dilemma every year and it nearly always turns out OK. My hubby Brian is the fussiest of all, and I deal with his eating habits every day, so you would think I would be used to it after 40yrs, why can't everyone be like me, I love all food, but then that is maybe why I struggle with my weight so much, talking about weight I'm off to WW soon, haven't been for the last 2 weeks so not holding out too much hope of reaching my goal this week either, it will be a miracle if I get there before Christmas.

40th Birthday. WMS25

I haven't done much crafting this week I think my mojo got lost in the snow, but he made a little visit and I  finally got that dreaded 40th Birthday card made.
My Son is 40 on the 12th, so need to get this in the post soon, what with the snow, and they live in a little village in North Wales, and the post there is rubbish at the best of times.
I used the sketch form Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge for this one. I did use the nestie which I bought from waltzing mouse.
Nestie Spellbinders. Lalbels 14
Papers Ella Bella GHD
Stamps Anna Griffin

Edited to add: I was going to link this to the waltzingmouse sketch challenage but just nipped over there and the link is closed I have left it too late, again.

WOYWW

Well no Christmas stuff this week, all my xmas stuff has been put away until next year, now onto Birthday cards, it is both my kids birthdays this month,I know bad planning or what.  I have already made a card for my daughter her Birthday is the 20th of Dec, but now have to make one for my son who will be 40 on the 12 of Dec.hence the Ella Blue papers and a print out of some sketches to inspire me, why do I have so much difficulty with Male cards.
Isn't it funny that although they are both grown ups I still call them kids. They will lways be my kids, my babies.

I made this to add to the prezzie I bought for my Daughter's birthday. I just have to add something to the ticket tag.

On the left of my desk is some jars with ribbons and buttons, the Big jar on the left is an assortment of buttons some of which belonged to my grandma and my mother, I keep adding to it, I can't throw out any old clothes until I have removed the buttons.
And to the right is more stuff. my stamps and punches. If like me you like to have a nosey around other peoples craft rooms hop on over to Julia's blog to see everyone's WOYWW Sorry I didn't get around to everyone last week, Must try harder this week.

Birthday Card

Yes that's right a Birthday Card, this is made using a sketch by Julee at Vive la Verve, papers by Melissa Frances.
after weeks of making Christmas cards and stuff for the Christmas Bazzar I had enough, anyway I have family Birthdays in December.
Last night while the footie was on I went up to my craft room and sorted and put away all my christmas crafting stuff, so no more and after 100 cards and about 100 tags and all the rest, enough is enough.

I just wanted to wish all of you across the Pond a Happy Thanksgiving Day, enjoy your special day.

WOYWW: Waiting for the glitter to dry.

I am really enjoying the WOYWW at Julia's blog, so thought I would give it another go this week, it is a good excuse to have a nosey at other crafters workspace's.
Although it was only 4.30pm it was already dark when these photo's were taken on Tuesday evening.
Do people still send Thank You card's for their prezzies at Christmas? I know my daughter Nicola always makes sure Grace sends them out.
Don't you just hate it when the glitter glue takes ages to dry, nearly as bad as waiting for your nail varnish to dry, I always smudge it.
I made these to sell at the Christmas bazaar on the 27th. I used Contempo Christmas Stamp by Stampin Up.
Also on my desk is the bauble punch which is just made for the bauble stamp, and those fabbie Timmee scissors which were a gift from the lovely and so talented Kath

Let it Snow! SSS82

I had to wait in yesterday for a parcel, not that I was going anywhere, but I thought with the weather being so foggy and cold, it a perfect day for staying in my craftroom, it is one of the warmest rooms in the house, it being at the top, and also the radiator is under my desk.

I managed a few challenges one of which is the The Sweet Stop.

I used papers from that very yummy paperpack MME O! Christmas Tree, Image by Stampin Up and sentiment stamp by Waltzingmouse.
It is freezing fog here again today so maybe another day holed up in my craftroom, unless the cold sends my mojo fleeing,  I will have some more challenges to post later.

WOYWW

I so enjoyed the WOYWW last week I thought I would have another play this week. Hope over to Julia's blog and play too. I'm afraid I didn't get around to visit everyone Wednesday is a bit busy for me. But the Footie is on tonight so might be able to some blog hopping then.
I have been making calenders for Grace's Christmas Bazzarr and on my desk pad is the start of another one, using Teeny Trees from Waltzingmouse, I started to make it yesterday and didn't finish it, yesterday was one of those days when I did nothing and didn't want to anything, what a waste of a day, and at my age I can't afford to waste days, but today another day, and I'm not wasting this one.
Weigh in day at  Weightwatchers, and a new diet plan called Pro Points, so all my books on WW and scales etc are now obsolete, which a bit annoying but then maybe this new plan maybe just what I need to give my diet a boost and lose the last few pounds.
