I'm still here, with some sad news

Just in case there is anyone out there wondering where I have been, well not very far, just had a few busy days.
Brian has been off work for a few days, and our old dog Ben died on Thursday morning. Ben our Dalmatian had been ill with a heart condition for 18mths, he was on medication all that time and it didn't stop him, he had a good life still enjoyed his walks, he got 4 or 5 a day. But a few weeks ago he really slowed down and started to show his age nearly 13. He started to have difficulty breathing and got slower and slower and on Wednesday we had a sleepless night with him Brian and I between took turns to sit with him, and next morning we decided it was time to let him go. We new it had to happen sooner or later, and we knew it was the right thing to do. So on Thursday Brian took him to the vets and came back heartbroken. The vet said that one half of his heart had stopped working.
We had planned to go to the County Show that day and was meeting up with our daughter and her husband and our Grandaughter Grace so we went there and had a good day and it helped us take our mind off what had happened, and today we had another family day at Warwick Castle and had a brilliant day, but it seem strange coming home to an empty house, we are not going to get another dog just yet, I think we will wait until Brian retires, we have always had a dog but the time is not right just now for the commitment that a new dog brings.

Sorry this is a long blog today, but thank you for taking the time to visit. I really do appreciate everyone who visits and leaves a comment, and I promise to try to visit everyone soon.

Just magnolia 19. Ice cream Tilda

Haven't managed many sketches over the past few weeks, as I have been looking after my granddaughter Grace. Can't believe how quickly they grow up, Grace is starting school next week and my daughter Nicola has taken the next couple of weeks off work.I will miss her so much, she said to me the other day, when I said to her that I will miss her. "Oh! You'll have nobody to play with Grandma" fortunately the paper crafting things that I like to play with I can do by myself.

Any way managed to do a sketch today. Love the sketch over on Just Magnolia. Papers are from We R memory keepers. Tiffany.

Carol's Sketch Fun #12

Made this card today for using the sketch over on Carol's challenge blog. I love this stamp from The Unity stamp Co. papers from DCWV "The Spring Stack"

Well IT' S here again, the FOOTIE season has started again, Brian is a Man Utd Fan so now when he's not playing Golf he will be watching the Football, and it doesn't matter what time of day or night there is always a match to watch, these things do interfere with life...they do say "If you can't beat them join them" but the trouble is I don't want to. so it's off to the craft room for me.

Laura's sketch 32 @2 sketches 4 you

I got some new Christmas papers yesterday by We are Memory Keepers, and couldn't wait to play with them but not had a lot of time again this week as I have been looking after Grace, though I simply adore having her it does interfere with the crafting, so a quick card, and the Laura's sketch over on 2 sketches 4 you was just right.

Card patterns Sketch 27

I know I should have gone to the weigh in on Sat, but did too much indulging at the wedding on Friday, have to be really good this next week, I seem to be stuck at this weight and still have another stone to go yet.

Thought I would make another Christmas Card again today while I'm in a christmassy mood, might get sick of it by Nov. Using the sketch from Card Patterns. I stamped the snowflake stamp on to pearl card with black ink then embossed with crystal transparent embossing powder. I embossed and layered the snowflake and added a snowflake brad.

Paper: DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas.

Paula and Nick's wedding 7/08/09

Some Photos of Paula and Nick's wedding, which we attended yesterday at Bicester Golf and Country Club, Paula and Nick have been together for about 10 years now and yesterday they finally tied the knot. My Daughter Nicola was a bridesmaid and my granddaughter Grace a flower girl. As usual there are no photos of me, as I'm always the one taking the pictures. When Paula said that she was having cheesecake as her wedding cake I didn't expect it to be a cake made up of 4 different types of Cheese. Brian my hubby wasn't in the least bit impressed He hates cheese.
