My First Easel Card

I have seen a lot of these cards around blog land, and I think they a wonderful idea, I did think they might be difficult to make but no they are easy peasy. I will definitely be make more of these. My neighbour asked me to make a card for her Dad who will be 90 soon. Hope she likes it.
It started to snow last night and hasn't stopped since I'm afraid I am a southern softy now we are so not used to so much Snow, this is the most we have seen in 20yrs. Hubby can't get to work again. But we might try to get into Town later, need some Euros for our hols. And more immediately we need milk.

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to wish everyone A Very Merry Christmas, hope you all have a wonderful day.

Things here haven't quite gone to plan, My Daughter Nicola was supposed to be cooking Christmas dinner this year but broke her arm on the ice and my daughter-in-law Rhiannon is going to be spending Christmas in Hospital nothing to serious we hope, she has very bad tonsillitis and as she can't keep anything down including the antibiotics, considering she has diabetes they have decided that it is the best place for her, so they can look after her properly.

Hope you all have a safe Christmas.

Snow

We don't get snow here very often but when it does the country grinds to a halt, this is what we found this morning. Not very deep here but the rest of the country has had worse. And there's more to come.

Just to let you know I'm still here.

sorry I haven't blogged for such a long time, I could say that I was too busy but that would be a lie, My MOJO has gone to the North Pole, or the cold weather has frozen my brain, well the creative side any way.
The other day I tidied up and put away all my Xmas card making stash, so no more Xmas cards this year. Although I love making them, and made about 60 this year I have had enough, think I started too early, in August I think.

We are spending Christmas Day at my daughter's house and spending the night there too, so I am looking forward to that, then on the Sunday my Son and his family are coming to stay for 3 days, so then it will be one big round of brewing up and cooking.

Well at least I can rest after Christmas, in January we are off to the Algarve for 2 weeks, so looking forward to that, if I can find anything to fit me that is. every thing is far too big, that's the problem with losing so much weight. but a small price to pay with feeling healthy and looking slimmer. Might have to hit the sales.

Hugs Carol x

And there's more!

A few more xmas cards today, inspired by Kristina . Where does the time go, it's lunchtime already and I've done nothing today, must get away from this computer soon. My niece Paula had a baby girl on Monday and I have a card to make, the baby came a month early, but mother and bay are both fine, and got home yesterday. Also I am making some roman blinds for my daughters dining room.

Happy Thankgiving day to everyone across the pond, I think we should celebrate thankgiving here in the UK but maybe not so close to Christmas, don't think I could cope with two celebrations within a month or three if you count New Year.

Off to make a baby card.

2 Sketches 4 You

I received my first Christmas Card yesterday, from my brother Tony, actually I think his girlfriend Tina sent it from the both of them, if it was left to my brother nobody would get a card, which is probably why I didn't get a Birthday card from him last week, It's his birthday next week and maybe when he receives the card I made him he might just remember who he forgot, shame on you Tony. men eh!

The weather here has been awful with Gale force winds, I think I have all the dead leaves from all the trees in the street in my garden, this is the time that I don't like autumn, oh yeah I know they look all lovely with all the beautiful Autumnal colours, but not when they are wet and soggy and in my garden. Will get hubby out to clear them up when the wind drops after he has to earn his keep somehow.
There are two great sketches this week on 2 sketches 4 you. Laura's super sketch and Cheryl's bonus sketch, decided to play along with both this week, and two very different cards. I bought the little snow girl last year from Lily of the Valley and thought I should use up some of last years stash too, also I have a few little girls to send cards too.

This card is made with papers from We R Memory Keepers.Posted by Picasa
