Tim's March Tag

Well I finally made Tim's tag for March, I was dithering over this one as I didn't have any of the elements I needed, so I improvised, I used a music background stamp and a Hero Arts Butterfly die I already had, and the little metal flower I have had in my stash for years, knew it would come in handy one day. Below is the Tim's original tag, not too bad considering.

After a week of lovely sunshine, it is cold, grey and murky here today, just in time for the Easter Hols, Why does it always do that?

" Anything Goes."

Thursday sketch challenge at Lili's Little Fairies is anything goes. The papers are Nitwits.

The weather here is like summer and all the Spring flowers and Blossom are beautiful, and we have our Blackbirds nesting again in our postage stamp courtyard garden, they return every year and this year they have 3 eggs, the only problem is trying to keep the neighbours cats out. Last year they managed to kill a baby fledgling. But I suppose that the nature of Cats.

Well it seems that Spring has Sprung here today . for the first time this year I hung my washing outside to dry.
I made this card today using the Sketch from Wednesday Stamp Club but won't be posting it on the site as I missed the deadline, where did the week go.
It's been a busy week, On Friday my freezer broke, so I had to buy a new one, We decided in the end to buy a new American style fridge/freezer as I'm always moaning that my fridge was too small. But they couldn't deliver it until Tuesday. what to do with all that food, as I caught it in time it hadn't defrosted, luckily my neighbour's freezer was empty. We also had to remove a cupboard in the Kitchen but it's well worth it ,is fab and I have so much more fridge space now. We eat a lot of fruit and veg, so I needed the extra veg box.
That's enough waffle on to the card. I used paper's from My Minds Eye, Follow Your Heart

Pink, Orange and Yellow.

Hope all you Mother's out there, well here in the UK anyway, had a lovely Mother's Day, I did, I spent the day with my Daughter Nicola and Grandaughter Grace.
I made this card last week and forgot to post it. But that's OK as there is time to play.
The image is by Lili of the Valley and the papers are Nitwits. One Birdie Lane Too. ribbon from The Ribbon Girls.
The sketch is by Sweet Sunday sketch, and the Colour Challenge is by CR8FN by Mona Pendleton.

Love this colour combo, they are so vibrant and reminds me that summer always follows spring, well some years it does, but first we need the Spring, when I woke up this morning there was a thick frost.

Another challenge. Oh how I love a challenge! Well not really it depends on the challenge, Card challenge's are easy, it's the challenges of life that are more difficult. But that's another story.

A Challenge and This and That.

Two posts in 2 days, must be feeling guilty for not posting for nearly a week.
The weather here this morning is awful misty and damp, hopefully the mist and murk might turn into a bit of sun. We didn't get to the Garden Center yesterday after all, we went to see Grace and our daughter Nicola, she asked to stay for dinner which was nice. I am always amazed at Nicola's ability to russell up a delicious meal, even though we hadn't planned on staying.
Now onto the Card.
Another new paper pad and this one is Echo Park This and That. At first I wasn't sure about it,but I love the way this card turned out. I used Tim Holtz's New Tattered Floral Garland die for the flowers.
I used the sketch from The Sweet Shop Callenge Blog.

Ribbons Ribbons everywhere.

The weather here is very Spring like today, I think a visit to the Garden Center is called for I have some lovely Daffodils in the garden but it's lacking some primroses, and after the winter it needs cheering up. So did my Craft room. I thinks this may well do the job.

Sorry  it's been nearly a week since I blogged, I have been crafting I had a visit to MerlyImpressions which is a fantastic website and saw the ribbon dispenser by Kaisercraft and lots of more yummy stuff. I just love ribbons and they were getting a little out of control so I thought I would organise them, and organising seems to be an on going thing here. But I never seem to get anywhere, I hate throwing things out, you never know they might come in handy one day, well for these papers and brads that day came.

I used the Tim Holtz. Tattered Florals, Florishes and Wordplay dies.

I can't get enough of these beautiful My Minds Eye papers at the moment. this one is Lost and Found Too, Breeze, and these are just perfect for this Male Birthday Card. Like most card makers I find Male Cards so hard to make, but this one was such a Breeze( sorry about the pun)

For  this card I used Lost and Found Too, Sunshine. I used the sketch below from the Wednesday Stamp Club at My Favourite Things for both and the colour combo for this one one which is by the lovely Mona at Cupcake's Creations, CR84FN49 the colours of which are Yellow, Kraft and Grey this week.
