Just for you. Sweet Sunday challenge 153

It's been over a week since I blogged, it's not that I haven't been busy card making I have, just haven't made anything I can show right now. It will be Mother's Day here soon, March the 18th, a day when Mother's all over the UK wait for breakfast in bed, made by their little darling's, and wait and wait, but never get it. That's what I used to do, anyway.
I used a LOTV image and Sentiment stamp,  which I coloured using Promarkers and paper I printed from Nitwits. One Birdie Lane Too.
The sketch is by Sweet Sunday.

Hero Arts. Thanks and Just Because.

It is sunny today but so cold, and can you believe it but according to the midday News today we are having a drought, so there's a hose pipe ban, so no hosing the car, as if, it's too cold it would freeze before it reached the car.
I picked up a new stamp set at the weekend by Hero Arts

I made two cards using both stamps in the set, papers are by My Minds eye.

12 tags of 2012

Well after a busy week I finally managed to make a Timmie tag. It was a case of make do and adapt. I pinched the heart idea from the super talented.Kath.
You can find the link to 12 tags of 2012 on my side bar.
It's half term which means a busy week as I looked after Grace on Monday. and we crafted all morning, Grace is learning to cross stitch at the moment we also made a Valentine card. In the afternoon we went to see the new Muppet Movie, which was a laugh, there is a whole new generation now Muppet Fans. Brian was also home this week, which made crafting difficult. We went to Cadbury's World, with Nicola and Grace and we ate ate chocolate until we felt sick.

You are Lovely - MME sketch 32

How quickly do the years go by, it seems like only yesterday that Grace was born and we were blessed with a beautiful grandaughter. I can hardly believe that she will be 7yrs old next month.
I love these papers from My Minds Eye.
Lost and Found. Blush
The large sentiment stamp is by Waltzingmouse Say it Loud
The tiny alphabet is from Craftworks cards

The sketch is from the My Minds Eye Blog challenge 32, I turned the sketch as it fit my papers and the die cut element better, it has to be at least 80% MME products, I think that this qualifies.

Wedding Card

Blogging and Blog hopping takes up a lot of my time, and I'm rubbish at it, I hop onto blogs and don't always leave a comment, and then wonder why I don't get any either. I have noticed that if you put the effort in then maybe you might get some response from others. I love blogging and bloghopping, my cards have got better and I get so much inspiration from it, that it would be a shame to stop, so from now on I am going to try to be a better blogger, well we will see eh!

I was asked to make a wedding card for my neighbour the other day, she told me the colour scheme is blue and white. She is in the Bahamas at the moment (lucky thing) so I e-mailed her some ideas and she really liked the wedding card I made for my niece a while back. This is what I came up with.
I used Tim Holtz Weathered Wood to stamp the background then used Frost glimmer mist to colour the card. I also used frost to make the flowers which left them with a lovely shimmer. Then added some pearls, ribbon and lace which I bought from The Ribbon Girl.
The frame is from Waltzingmouse and the sentiment is Anna Griffin
I e-mailed the photo of the card to my friend and she e-mailed back to say she loves it so that's great. I do worry when I make cards for other people that they will like them, my friend is back home next week for a while so I can give it to her then, just hope she likes it as much in real life, so to speak.I think she will.

It is so cold here today, I think maybe some Housework first to warm me up. then the afternoon crafting. My craft room is on the 3rd floor of my house and it is always so much warmer in there, as we all know heat rises, but sometimes it gets too warn, never happy are we.
