Hope you are enjoying the sunshine, what wonderful weather we are having, hope it lasts, Brian and I are off to Dublin tomorrow for a few days and I packed warm weather clothes. He is working but I will be shopping, and next weekend we have organised a Jubilee Party for the neighbours so hope it lasts.
Here's some of the cards I made with the Mixed Bunch stamp set from the summer mini booklet.

Alfie Bear

The sun here has at last decided to shine, and later today I'm off to see Westlife at Nottingham can hardly wait

How cute is this Alfie stamp from Craftworks Cards. I used some free papers I got in a craftmag and coloured him in with promarkers. I used the sketch below for inspiration.

For the Birthday Girl

I made this a while ago for a dear friend of mine, who will be 30 today,  but  I couldn't post it because I knew she would see it. I made an Album and a Card  and tag, using Tiger Lily from KaiserCraft. I hope she likes it I'm sure she will as she is a Pink Lady. I've known Letty since she came to work with me at Beatties, I think she was about 18 then, and we hit it off straight away, even through there is a big age difference between us.She is such the sweetest girl you would ever want to meet. I'm glad we stayed in touch even though both our lives have changed. I know we will stay friends forever.

On your Wedding Day

My friend's son is getting married next month and she asked me to make her a Wedding Card, and this is what I came up with. You might think you have seen this card before and you would be right, I made in it blue for another friend. I do worry that the people who commission me to make a card will like them, but with this one I didn't need to worry, as they were delighted. In real life the gold ribbon is a perfect match but for some reason not on my photo.

Every year for the last 3 years we have had Blackbirds nesting in our tiny courtyard garden and this year they nested in a bush which is against the house wall just about 1mtr from the backdoor they hatched a couple of weeks ago. After Mum and Dad blackbird worked so hard feeding them worms and berries they had grown so much and I managed to take a photo just before they flew the nest, hope they make it despite the cats that lye in wait. As you can see there are four little beaks all waiting for mum and dad.

This and That

A few cards I made with the March Key Ingredients Kit by Taylored  Expressions. I had so much fun using this kit.
There is also a link to this on my sidebar.

For this one I used Spellbinders Office Supplies die

The stamp on this one is by Hero Arts.

I used Banner day stamp and die set and Spellbinders Home Sweet Home

I'm looking after Grace this weekend as it is  my daughter Nicola and her husband's 10th Anniversary and they are having a nice weekend break in Stratford-upon-Avon. Brian is in Devon having a golf Break, that leaves just the two of us, planning a nice girlie weekend.

Easter Wishes

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while been busy looking after Grace this week and we had a busy time doing some crafting and drawing watching Movies and a visit to Waddesdon Manor where we did an Easter Egg Trail, Grace loved finding the clues and answering the quiz and best of all she loved the Cadbury's Egg.
I made the above card using Warren from Craftworks Cards and papers from Nitwits.

Hope you all have a Happy Easter and lots of choccies.

Tim's March Tag

Well I finally made Tim's tag for March, I was dithering over this one as I didn't have any of the elements I needed, so I improvised, I used a music background stamp and a Hero Arts Butterfly die I already had, and the little metal flower I have had in my stash for years, knew it would come in handy one day. Below is the Tim's original tag, not too bad considering.

After a week of lovely sunshine, it is cold, grey and murky here today, just in time for the Easter Hols, Why does it always do that?

" Anything Goes."

Thursday sketch challenge at Lili's Little Fairies is anything goes. The papers are Nitwits.

The weather here is like summer and all the Spring flowers and Blossom are beautiful, and we have our Blackbirds nesting again in our postage stamp courtyard garden, they return every year and this year they have 3 eggs, the only problem is trying to keep the neighbours cats out. Last year they managed to kill a baby fledgling. But I suppose that the nature of Cats.

Well it seems that Spring has Sprung here today . for the first time this year I hung my washing outside to dry.
I made this card today using the Sketch from Wednesday Stamp Club but won't be posting it on the site as I missed the deadline, where did the week go.
It's been a busy week, On Friday my freezer broke, so I had to buy a new one, We decided in the end to buy a new American style fridge/freezer as I'm always moaning that my fridge was too small. But they couldn't deliver it until Tuesday. what to do with all that food, as I caught it in time it hadn't defrosted, luckily my neighbour's freezer was empty. We also had to remove a cupboard in the Kitchen but it's well worth it ,is fab and I have so much more fridge space now. We eat a lot of fruit and veg, so I needed the extra veg box.
That's enough waffle on to the card. I used paper's from My Minds Eye, Follow Your Heart

Pink, Orange and Yellow.

Hope all you Mother's out there, well here in the UK anyway, had a lovely Mother's Day, I did, I spent the day with my Daughter Nicola and Grandaughter Grace.
I made this card last week and forgot to post it. But that's OK as there is time to play.
The image is by Lili of the Valley and the papers are Nitwits. One Birdie Lane Too. ribbon from The Ribbon Girls.
The sketch is by Sweet Sunday sketch, and the Colour Challenge is by CR8FN by Mona Pendleton.

Love this colour combo, they are so vibrant and reminds me that summer always follows spring, well some years it does, but first we need the Spring, when I woke up this morning there was a thick frost.

Sending Hugs-My Minds Eye challenge 33

Another challenge. Oh how I love a challenge! Well not really it depends on the challenge, Card challenge's are easy, it's the challenges of life that are more difficult. But that's another story.
